Changes are taking place at the hospital to provide a 14 bed stroke rehabilitation unit for the County. This should not make a huge change to people in The Vale beds, as the 20 beds have already been used for patient recovery and many of its patients have been from all parts of the County. It will make a difference for those experiencing Stroke and their relatives, as there will be somewhere for them to have more help in recovering after a Stroke.
Other services such as Physiotherapy will continue to operate as normal. If you would like to see your consultant in The Vale Outpatients, please ask your doctor if this is possible.

Tea, Coffee and cake will be served on Monday 15 October, with cakes made by our volunteers.
Fete in the Hospital car Park
The weather was kind and our May fete we raised almost £1000. This money boosts the League of Friends funds and enables us to provide equipment for The Vale. The money is used to purchase equipment which enables more services to be offered at the Vale.
Volunteers This year, we have boosted our funds through several events. This was down to the efforts of the committee and a small group of volunteers. If you would like to join us or volunteer to help in any way, please contact us – see contact details on our Membership page.
WE DO NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS – PLEASE OFFER YOUR SUPPORT TO HELP YOUR LOCAL HOSPITAL
